From enquiry to manufacture

How Bespoke Work Proceeds

Every custom job is assessed individually. A quotation is not issued until we understand what is required and whether it can be produced to the correct standard.

1

Measure

Record the complete available space in millimetres.

2

Photograph

Show the area, access route and anything we must work around.

3

Specify

Explain the birds, layout, fittings and features required.

4

Approve

Review the written specification, dimensions and quotation carefully.

5

Manufacture

Your approved equipment enters our made-to-order schedule.

Built to a standard—not merely a size

Bespoke Does Not Mean Anything Goes.

We will not weaken a product, compromise ventilation, reduce practical access or adopt an unsuitable construction method simply to satisfy a requested dimension.

Some size changes can affect compatibility with standard widowhood fronts, plastic components, trays or other fittings. We will explain any limitation before a quotation is accepted.

Bespoke Work FAQs

How is bespoke equipment priced?
Every custom build is priced individually. Material use, machining, design, complexity, fittings, labour, packaging and delivery requirements are considered before a written quotation is issued.
Can you quote from photographs alone?
Photographs are extremely helpful, but accurate overall dimensions are normally required. For more complicated work, we may also request a labelled drawing or additional measurements before pricing.
Can every standard product be made in any size?
No. A change in size can affect strength, access, ventilation and compatibility with trays, grills, fronts or plastic components. We will only offer a configuration we consider suitable.
How long will a bespoke order take?
Lead time depends on the project and the live workshop schedule. An estimated timescale will be provided before an order is agreed. Bespoke work is made to order and is not held in stock.
Do you install bespoke equipment?
No. M.A.C. Lofts supplies the manufactured equipment only unless a different arrangement is expressly agreed in writing. The customer is responsible for checking access and arranging installation.
What happens after I approve the quotation?
The final dimensions and written specification must be checked carefully before payment. Once approved and ordered, the job is allocated to the production schedule and materials may be ordered, reserved or cut specifically for it.

Have a Space Standard Equipment Cannot Solve?

Send the measurements, photographs and required layout. We will assess what is practical and tell you honestly whether M.A.C. Lofts can manufacture the right solution.
